Terms of Service

By accessing or using Trading Cards, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or services.

We may update these terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page.

Trading Cards provides pre-built CRM card templates for HubSpot and a web app at app.tradingcards.dev that deploys them into HubSpot portals you connect. It also includes this website and its documentation.

A template is deployed into your own HubSpot portal as a HubSpot developer project, using a Personal Access Key that you provide. Once deployed, the template runs inside your HubSpot portal.

You are responsible for using HubSpot in accordance with your own HubSpot account terms and permissions. Some templates need particular HubSpot subscriptions or scopes, as described in their documentation.

To use the web app you sign in with your email address using a one-time link. Your account is created the first time you sign in.

You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure and for activity that takes place under your account.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen. Deleting it removes your saved keys and portal connections from Trading Cards. Templates you have already deployed stay in your HubSpot portals until you delete them there.

You may only connect HubSpot portals that you are authorised to administer, and only provide Personal Access Keys that you are entitled to use.

A Personal Access Key lets Trading Cards act in your portal with the permissions of that key. By saving a key you authorise us to use it to carry out the actions you request in the app, such as deploying or updating a template, or removing a template's configuration file.

Keys are stored encrypted. You can replace or remove a key, or disconnect a portal, at any time in Settings, and you can revoke a key in HubSpot.

Templates may be written by us or by other contributors. The author is shown on each template.

Deploying a template adds a project to your portal and may add cards, properties, or other configuration, as described in that template's documentation. You decide what to deploy and where, and you are responsible for reviewing a template before deploying it to a production portal.

Removing a template in the app takes it off your installed list and can remove its configuration file. The project itself is deleted by you in HubSpot.

We send service emails that are needed to use the app, such as sign-in links.

If you joined our waitlist or asked for updates, we may also contact you about Trading Cards, product updates, and related announcements. You can ask us to stop sending non-essential messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us directly.

Trading Cards, including its branding, website content, docs, and product materials, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the site and app for your own business purposes and deploy templates into portals you are authorised to administer, but you may not copy, resell, or redistribute our content without permission.

You must not misuse the site or app, attempt to interfere with them, or use them for unlawful, harmful, or misleading purposes.

You must not attempt to access another person's account, portals, or keys, or connect a portal you are not authorised to administer.

You must not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service, or use it in a way that could damage the service or other users.

Trading Cards works with third-party services, including HubSpot (the portals you connect, and tracking code on this website), GitHub for project links, and providers we use to run the service such as hosting, sign-in, and email delivery. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services, and your use of them is at your own discretion.

Trading Cards is currently offered free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the service, or any template, at any time.

The site, app, templates, and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or services, including changes made to a HubSpot portal by a template you chose to deploy.

If there is a conflict between these terms and a separate written agreement with us, the separate agreement controls for that conflict.
